fridges with loose handles, tired seals or warm shelves.
freezers that frost up or can't hold their cold.
ice makers that leak, jam or stop making cubes.
wine coolers with iced back walls or drifting temperatures.
ovens that run hot, run cool or show a sensor error.
ranges with weak burners, cold elements or bad controls.
Many compressor wine coolers do their cooling through a plate built into the back wall of the cabinet. While the compressor runs, a thin layer of frost forms on that plate. Between runs, the frost melts and the water drains away through a small channel. It's a quiet cycle that works well, as long as nothing presses against the plate.
Push a bottle all the way back and things change:
What to do: keep every bottle an inch or so off the back wall, and push each shelf in until it stops, since the stops are there to hold bottles off the plate. Wipe up any water you find. If a thick layer of ice stays on the back wall for days, or the plate is iced while the cabinet feels warm, check the door seal first. After that, the defrost control or a sensor may be at fault, and that's where my techs step in.
Thermoelectric coolers work differently, with a fan and a metal fin assembly instead of a cold plate, so this one applies to compressor models.
Look at the back wall of many ovens, near one of the top corners, and you'll see a thin metal rod a few inches long. That rod is the temperature sensor. It reports how hot the oven is, and the control uses that reading to switch the heat on and off. When the sensor reads wrong, the whole oven runs wrong.
How a healthy sensor gets into trouble:
Care is simple: leave it straight, keep foil off it, and wipe it gently with a damp cloth when the oven is cool. Some ovens hide the sensor behind a panel, and those need no care at all.
How do you know the sensor is the problem? Set the oven to 350°F and check an oven thermometer on the middle rack after it settles. A reading far off the setting, a temperature that keeps drifting, or a sensor error on the display all point to the sensor or the control. My techs test the sensor against the maker's chart before replacing anything.
One reading can mislead you, because the oven cycles its heat up and down around the setting. Put the thermometer in the center of the middle rack. Wait about twenty minutes after the preheat signal, then glance at it through the window or with the door open for only a second or two. Take three readings about ten minutes apart and average them. An oven whose average lands close to the setting is fine, even if single readings swing wider.
The refrigerator handle rocks a little when you pull it, then a little more each week. On many refrigerators, each handle slides onto two studs in the door and locks in place with small set screws, often on the underside or the inner side of the handle. Daily pulls and the odd slam work those screws loose.
How to snug it up:
Please don't use a handle to pull the fridge out from the wall. That's the fastest way to loosen it again.
When it's a repair: a stud that spins in the door, a cracked handle, screws that won't hold, or a door that drops when you pull it. My crew replaces the mounting parts with genuine or OEM-approved parts.
Call or write: use the phone or the form. A person answers 24/7 and books a same- or next-day visit.
Test: the tech checks power, water, gas and settings, then tests the parts tied to your problem and tells you what's wrong.
Repair: after your okay, the tech installs genuine or OEM-approved parts and tests the appliance before leaving. Up to 6 months of warranty covers parts and labor.

My techs repair Whirlpool, GE, GE Profile, KitchenAid, Bosch, Frigidaire, Maytag, Samsung, LG, Electrolux, Kenmore and Haier in Avondale Estates homes, as well as wine coolers from many makers. My techs have worked on every one of them for years.

A bottle may be touching the cold plate. Move the bottles forward and push the shelves in to their stops.
Yes, on compressor models. It forms while the compressor runs and melts between cycles.
It's the temperature sensor. Keep it straight, and don't drape foil over it.
It could. If the rod touches the wall, it misreads the temperature. A tech can test it and replace it if needed.
Usually, yes. Look for small set screws under the handle ends and tighten them with the right hex key.
Up to 6 months, covering parts and labor both.
