Rex is an unincorporated community on the line between Clayton and Henry counties, close to Morrow, Ellenwood and Stockbridge. It got its post office in 1882, and Rex Mill, an old grist mill on Cotton Indian Creek beside Rex Road, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is Hank. My crew at Mars Appliance Repair takes care of refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, wine coolers, ovens and ranges in Rex homes, with same- or next-day visits.
Got a problem in the kitchen? Phone (470) 516-8711, and a person answers 24/7. Or send the form on this page, and we'll be in touch to set a time.

Tell Hank's crew what's acting up and the best number to reach you. We'll call you right back to lock in a Same- or Next-Day slot — no obligation, no upsell circus.

fridges with cracked bins, sagging shelves or warm sections.
chest and upright freezers that run nonstop or frost over.
ice makers that dribble, clump or quit for good.
wine coolers with warm top shelves or silent fans.
ovens that drift off temperature or won't heat at all.
glass-top and gas ranges that cycle, spark or stay cold.
Tomatoes and peaches come in, the canner comes out, and the smooth glass cooktop gets the hardest job of the year. Some makers allow canning on their glass-top ranges with conditions, and some advise against it. So the first step is the use-and-care manual, which says what your model can take.
Where canning is allowed, the conditions usually look like this:
Expect slower boiling. Every radiant element has a limiter that switches it off briefly when the glass gets too hot. A big pot of water on high for an hour keeps tripping that limiter, so the boil can soften from time to time. That's the cooktop protecting itself.
When it's a fault: a flat pan of water that never reaches a boil on any element, an element that won't switch off, or a crack in the glass. With a cracked top, stop using it and turn off the breaker; spills can reach the wiring underneath. My techs replace elements, switches and cooktop glass.
Gas cooktops handle a canner well as long as the flame stays under the pot. Set the canner centered on the grate, keep the flame from curling up the sides, and keep the big pot away from the knobs.
You set the wine cooler to 55°F, but a thermometer on the top shelf reads 59°F and one near the bottom reads 53°F. Is the cooler failing? Not necessarily. In a single-zone cooler, warm air rises, so the upper shelves can sit a few degrees above the lower ones. Coolers with an inside fan keep the gap smaller. Coolers without one, and thermoelectric models, tend to show a bigger spread.
The number on the display comes from one sensor in one spot, so it's an average at best.
How to read your cooler properly:
What makes the spread worse:
When it needs a tech: the top shelf stays far above the setting, the gap keeps growing, the inside fan has gone quiet, or the whole cabinet drifts warm. My crew checks the fan, the sensor, the seal and the cooling system.
A gallon of milk, a jar of pickles and a bottle of juice all ride in the refrigerator door. Over the years that weight cracks the corners of the door bins or snaps the small hooks that hold them on. Inside the fridge, a broken shelf support lets a glass shelf tilt, and the next jar slides off.
What to check:
A few cautions. Don't glue a cracked bin; glue doesn't hold up in the cold and isn't made to touch food. Move heavy jars to a shelf until the new bin arrives. And wipe up any spill fast, before it runs into the door gasket.
Swapping a bin is usually easy once the right part shows up. A cracked door liner, a rail torn out of the back wall, or a door that sags from years of heavy loads is a job for my techs, who fit genuine or OEM-approved parts.
You get in touch: phone or send the form. A person picks up 24/7 and books you a same- or next-day visit.
We figure it out: the tech checks the supply and the settings, tests the parts linked to the trouble, and shows you what failed.
We put it right: once you okay the work, the tech installs genuine or OEM-approved parts and tests everything before leaving. Your warranty lasts up to 6 months and includes the labor along with the parts.

In Rex kitchens my techs work on Whirlpool, GE, GE Profile, Frigidaire, Maytag, Samsung, LG, Kenmore, Amana, KitchenAid, Haier and Hotpoint, as well as wine coolers of many brands. Long experience with every one of these is what they bring through your door.
Mars Appliance Repair is a family outfit that stands on its own. No manufacturer is affiliated with us or endorses us; we name these brands only so you know what we repair.

Yes, throughout 30273. Outside that, the form will check your ZIP code.
Same- or next-day visits are available in Rex. Calling in the morning keeps the most times open.
Check your manual first. Some makers allow it with a flat-bottomed canner; some advise against it.
The element's limiter switches off when the glass gets very hot. A flat-bottomed pot sized to the ring helps.
Warm air rises. A few degrees between the top and bottom shelves is normal in a single-zone cooler.
Put a thermometer in a glass of water on a shelf, close the door and read it after 24 hours.
Better not. Order the bin for your model number and keep heavy jars off the door until it arrives.
Up to 6 months, with labor counted in along with parts.
