If your fridge is sweating more than you in July, you are in the right place. Hi, I'm Hank. My crew fixes refrigerators all over metro Atlanta, and we do it the plain way: find what actually broke, explain it without the jargon, and fix it so it stays fixed. Most visits happen same- or next-day, because a warm fridge can't wait a week.
Call (470) 516-8711, and a real person picks up 24/7, or drop your number in the form on this page and we'll call you back to set a time.

Tell Hank's crew what's acting up and the best number to reach you. We'll call you right back to lock in a Same- or Next-Day slot — no obligation, no upsell circus.
Some "broken" fridges just need a nudge. Try these first. If none of them helps, you've ruled out the easy stuff and we'll know where to start.
While you wait, keep the door shut. The USDA's rule of thumb: a closed refrigerator keeps food safe for about 4 hours. Perishables that end up above 40°F after that should go in the trash.
You call, we listen. Tell us the brand, what the fridge is doing and your ZIP code. We'll give you a time window, usually same- or next-day.
We find the real cause. The tech checks temperatures in both sections, listens to the compressor and fans, looks at the condenser and tests the defrost parts and controls. Then we tell you straight what failed and what the fix involves, before we start. If it isn't worth fixing, we'll say that too. You make the call.
We fix it and watch it cool. We put in genuine or OEM-approved parts, start the fridge back up and make sure it's pulling temperature down before we leave. The repair is backed by a warranty of up to 6 months on parts and labor.

A fridge is a team of small systems. When one player drops out, the whole team looks bad.
The cold-making crew. The compressor pushes refrigerant through the condenser, where heat leaves, and the evaporator, where the cold is made. Work on this sealed system takes an EPA 608 certified technician, and that's who we send.
The fans. One fan cools the compressor area. Another blows cold air through the freezer and over to the fridge side. They wear out, and they're one of the most common fixes we do.
The defrost team. A heater, a defrost thermostat or sensor, and a timer or board melt frost off the coil a few times a day. When one quits, frost builds up slowly and the fridge warms over a few days.
The brains. Temperature sensors feed the control board, which decides when everything runs. Newer variable-speed compressors, common on Samsung and LG, also have their own inverter board.
Water and ice. Inlet valve, filter, water lines, ice maker and dispenser.
Doors. Gaskets, hinges and switches. A tired gasket lets damp air in all day, and the defrost system pays for it.
French door, side-by-side, top freezer, bottom freezer, counter-depth, built-in and panel-ready, plus the beer fridge in the garage and the mini fridge in the bonus room. Age and style matter more than the badge, and we've seen just about every combination.
Garage fridges deserve a special mention. A Georgia garage in August is rough on a refrigerator, and so is a January cold snap. Plenty of standard models aren't designed for those swings, so we check the room before we blame the fridge.
Most of the time, fix it. Fans, relays, sensors, defrost parts, valves, gaskets and boards are all replaceable, and one part is a fraction of the money for a new fridge plus delivery and install. A decent refrigerator is built to last many years.
When does replacement make sense? When an older fridge has a dead compressor or a refrigerant leak buried in the walls. If that's what we find, I'd rather tell you to replace it than sell you a repair that won't pay off. Fifteen years in, that's still how we do it.
We service just about every fridge you'll find around town: Whirlpool, GE, GE Profile, GE Café, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, Maytag, KitchenAid, Kenmore, Bosch, Electrolux, Haier, Amana and Hisense, plus high-end built-ins from Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking, Monogram, Jenn-Air, Miele, Liebherr and Fisher & Paykel. Our techs have spent years elbow-deep in these refrigerators.

Every troublemaker has its tell. Here's what we see most, and what it usually means.
The cold air isn't making the trip from the freezer to the fresh-food side. Frost on the evaporator coil, a dead evaporator fan or a stuck damper are the usual culprits.
The cabinet has power, but the cooling isn't running. Think start relay, condenser fan, control board or a coil choked with dust.
The compressor tries to start and something shuts it off. Often it's the small start part, not the compressor.
Usually a clogged defrost drain, a leaking water line to the ice maker or a loose fitting on the inlet valve.
A fan blade brushing ice, a fan motor on its way out, or a compressor working far too hard.
The defrost system quit, and frost keeps stacking up until air can't get through.
Atlanta humidity plus a torn gasket, or a failed heater that keeps the door edges dry.
A frozen fill tube, a bad valve, an old filter or the ice maker itself. Our ice maker repair page goes deeper.
Snap a photo and read it to us on the phone. It saves time on the visit.

Same- or next-day is the norm across most of metro Atlanta. Call in the morning for the best shot at an early slot.
Probably not. A cold freezer means the compressor is doing its job. The cold air just isn't reaching the fridge side, which usually means frost on the coil, a dead fan or a stuck damper.
Keep the fridge at 40°F or colder and the freezer at 0°F. Those numbers come from the USDA and FDA.
You can, and it may cool again for a few days. But if a defrost part failed, the ice comes right back. And please don't chip at it with a knife, it's easy to poke a hole in the coil.
Yes. We service built-in, panel-ready and column refrigerators along with everyday models.
