Fairburn sits in south Fulton County along I-85, an old railroad town with a historic downtown and, every spring, the crowds of the Georgia Renaissance Festival on its south side. Hank here. My crew at Mars Appliance Repair handles refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, wine coolers, ovens and ranges in Fairburn homes, and same- or next-day visits are on the table.
If something stops working, dial (470) 516-8711; you'll get a person, day or night. Or send the form on this page and we'll ring you back to set a time.

Tell Hank's crew what's acting up and the best number to reach you. We'll call you right back to lock in a Same- or Next-Day slot — no obligation, no upsell circus.

top-freezer, side-by-side and French-door models that run warm.
freezers that frost up, hum without cooling or won't seal.
ice makers that stop making ice or overflow the tray.
wine coolers with dead fans or drifting readings.
oven doors that won't close, fans that won't quit, cold ovens.
gas and electric ranges with burners that fail to heat.
If your kitchen has a classic top-freezer refrigerator, it very likely makes all of its cold in one place. The cooling coil sits behind a panel in the freezer, and a fan pushes some of that cold air down into the fridge section through a vent or an air damper.
That design explains a symptom that confuses people: the freezer is cold, but the fridge is warm. Here's what usually causes it.
Clear the vents first and give it a few hours. If the fridge doesn't come back, book a visit and tell us whether you can hear the fan inside the freezer.
Older refrigerators often have a dial marked 1 to 7 or 1 to 9, with no degrees at all. On most of those dials, the higher the number, the colder the fridge runs. Many people turn it to 1 in hot weather, thinking it means "most cooling," and the food warms up. A setting near the middle is a good starting point. To know for sure, put a thermometer in a glass of water on a middle shelf overnight; the fridge should read 40°F or below. Be patient with the dial, too. After you move it, give the fridge a full day to settle before you judge the result, and move it one step at a time rather than all the way.
An oven door should close snugly, with the gasket pressed evenly all around. If yours sits open at the top, drops down on one side or springs open, heat escapes, preheating drags and the knobs or the controls above the door can overheat.
The usual causes:
Look at the door from the side with it closed. A gap you can see, or a gasket you can feel heat escaping from, needs a repair. Don't keep running the self-clean cycle on a door that doesn't close properly.
You turned the oven off half an hour ago, and something is still whirring. Usually that's the cooling fan, and it's supposed to be running. Many ovens have a fan that moves air around the controls and the door to protect the electronics. It keeps going after the oven shuts off, until the inside cools down. After a long roast or a self-clean cycle, that can take quite a while.
When is the fan a problem?
A fan that won't shut off may point to a temperature sensor or a stuck relay on the control board. A fan that quit should be fixed soon, because those controls rely on it to stay cool.
First, the booking: call or use the form. Someone answers 24/7 and finds you a same- or next-day slot.
Then the diagnosis: the tech rules out power, gas, water and settings before testing the parts behind your symptom, and walks you through what went wrong.
Last, the repair: after you give the go-ahead, genuine or OEM-approved parts are installed and the appliance is run and checked. Both the parts and the labor carry up to 6 months of warranty.

On a top-freezer model, the cold comes from the freezer. A blocked vent, an iced coil, a dead fan or a stuck damper keeps it from reaching the fridge.
On most older dials, yes. Start near the middle and check with a thermometer: 40°F or below.
Better not. Heat escapes, and the controls above the door can overheat. Bent hinges or worn springs are the usual cause.
That's the cooling fan, and it's normal until the oven cools. If it runs for hours or never stops, book a check.
